Lewis Acker has been with The Port Pub and Bistro from the beginning. His cuisine is based on creating quality food for a relaxed atmosphere, while complimenting the fine beer from Sea Level Brewery.
Several generations of culinary expertise, have inspired and enabled Lewis to successfully continue in his family tradition.
Lewis' appreciation of fresh and local products, combined with his culinary training at Akerley Campus, enhances his natural ability and creative approach to cuisine.
In addition to his experience at the Blomidon Inn with Chef Laceby, Lewis spent the past 5 years as Sous Chef with Chef Welton at the Port Pub & Bistro. This has allowed Lewis to bring an excellent array of culinary skills to our Patrons.
Working closely with Lewis is Red Seal Certified Michael Skipton, and collectively, our team has over 2o years of combined experience in a variety of culinary settings.
